Very aware that Interior Design is often considered an “expensive luxury”, I am a firm believer that seeking support with home design shouldn’t be a costly service only available to the minority. This is why my business has been created with a genuine desire to help all clients, with projects big or small; offering friendly, affordable, down-to-earth guidance and support that feels more like a collaboration than a service.
As a working mum, I understand the demands that family-life puts on our homes, so when working with clients it is essential that I get to know them, how their family functions and how they want the space to make them feel to ensure their home design works for them and their lifestyle. Having also been through the process of renovating properties, I have first-hand experience of living in a project and I am always sure to carry this knowledge and empathy in to my projects.
Based in Yalding, just outside Maidstone in Kent, I live with my husband and two sons.
My husband, a Carpenter by trade, is the face of our small family-run building company, Hudson Carpentry & Building Services established in 2011. During this time, I have worked with many clients, supporting them with their home interiors, and as our children have grown, affording me more time and flexibility, I have steadily nurtured my independent client base, taking on more clients and projects for Interior Design and Home Styling, launching Kate Hudson Interiors in 2023.
But, the start of my journey began long before this… having worked in either a creative or property environment, it was only a matter of time before I combined my two passions of property and design to create a service that I am incredibly proud of. Striving to provide clients with achievable and affordable access to Interior Design and Home Styling is at the heart of my business and comes from the genuine desire to provide a friendly, helpful and personal service.
